Shared Sacrifice, Shared Prosperity

How do we find out way to a more utopian society and system?  First, we’d need a robust democracy as our political system.  Second, less worship for capitalism as our economic system.  As is stands right now in a time of great hardship and increasing need, we have the Tea Party and fellow right wingers saying that the scapegoats of America’s downfall are the   98% of the people who work for a living, but only share in 7% of the economic benefits.  A lot of these people say that we’re also a Christian nation.  Yet, Christ was about helping all the marginalized people, particulary the poor.  He got crucified because of his beliefs.  I know I’m going to be crucifed  for saying this, but we shouldn’t have any poor or homeless people in the richest and more powerful country that ever existed.  We should also pay people who work and prop up this capitalist system a living wage with incentives for more, the longer you work.  This includes the greatest marginalized workers of this country:  Artists.    As I’ve said many times, we produce goods and services, and isn’t that what capitalism is all about?  But of course, if we became powerful for our individuality, there wouldn’t be any need for all the hierarchies which control our every movement; from politics to media to religion, and yes, mass culture.   We’d be on our own—truly the free Americans that our country was founded to help facilitate.  Instead, as  I’ve said ad infinitum, we have the best system Big Money can buy.  Instead of of, by and for the people, the new  model and motto is:  Of, by, and for Big Money/corporations.

My conclusion is, hey rich bitches and bastards, let’s share the sacrifice and share the prosperity by paying us working fools a decent wage for putting up with all your superficial and self-serving shenigans.  Can you hear me Rupert Murdoch and Fox News?
