The Sweet and The Sour
Put out the hummingbird feeder I got as a gift earlier this summer and is it way cool! We’d seen them here and there over the years, but always on the fly. Within 2 days we had visitors. Now they drink and then light on a sculpture nearby where you can really get a look at them. Everytime I happen to look out, someone’s sippin’ A really fun investment for not much money and hours of enjoyment. They’re such sweet itsy birds.
Now on a more sour note, How ‘bout ‘dat Mitt Romney? Friday, he was at the Iowa State Fair, addressing the crowd when someone started asking him about why he was advocating cutting Social Security, and what about raising taxes (or cutting loopholes) on major corporations who hardly pay taxes as it is. Mitt responded that corporations ARE people!” Didn’t you know that? They’re people like us. Well geez mcbeez, isn’t that just so special. I know that it was a decision in the late 1800s engineered by corporate lawyers into a Constitututional Amendment. http://reclaimdemocracy.org/personhood/#intro. The decision that helped the Supreme Court decide against the power of the little person in the infamous Citizens United decision in 2010, and opened the door for literally billions being spent on the fall 2010 by corporate lobbyists to buy the election. Setting a horrible precedent for the future. They already influence our government to give them bennies while they’re exporting our jobs to much lower wage employees in other countries. so that money- is- speech thing is a little…specious if ya ask me. They don’t speak, they drown out everybody elses voice. So yep, corporations are just like some gal sittin’ on the back porch shellin’ peas. Just one of us all, alright. Puleese. Somebody better exploit that snippet for the campaign. Sickening.
